Failure of double eyelid repair is one of the common cosmetic surgery. It seems simple, but it is not easy to satisfy all the patients. The procedure of repairing failed eyelid was as follows
1. The double eyelid suture is not obviously manifested as the partial or complete disappearance of the double eyelid suture, which is often seen after the suture embedding method and suture pressing pad method. At present, the so-called polymer double eyelid and membrane pressing method on the market are actually one kind of embedding suture method. The main reason for this situation is that the selection of surgical method is not correct; for patients with thick and bloated eyelids, catgut embedding method fails to cause long-term adhesion between meibomian plate and skin at the double eyelid. When using incision method, the fat of anterior orbital septum and orbicularis oculi muscle are not completely removed, and the skin and meibomian fail to adhere, etc., the double eyelid line is not obvious.
Remedial measures: if the double eyelid line disappears completely, the operation scheme should be re selected. For those with thin eyelid,无内眦或内眦较轻者，可选择埋线法；眼睑较厚（肉质眼）且内眦较多者，应改变切口方式；双眼皮线部分消失，可局部手术，而新形成的双眼皮要与剩余的双眼皮线条自然保持相同的弧度。
2双眼皮太窄，也就是说双眼皮的宽度小于5毫米，相对于接受者的脸形来说，双眼皮宽度太窄，不协调。这与设计和缝合不当有关，
which may be due to the narrow preoperative design (including the requirements of the recipient in advance) or the suture position is too low.
Correction method: incision along the original incision, fully peel off the skin below the double eyelid line, remove the orbicularis oculi muscle and the tissue in front of meibomian plate, and use the stretch of upper eyelid skin to lift and suture the incision to increase the width of double eyelid (the width can be increased by 1-3 mm). This method can also make the eyelashes of young patients curl up and increase the aesthetic feeling.
Preparation before operation for failed repair of double eyelid
1. Take a bath the night before operation and in the morning of the same day;
2. All vitamins and aspirin including vitamin E should be stopped within one week before operation;
3. Do not take too much alcohol two days before operation;
4. Sedatives should be taken on the day of operation. Please do not drive or work at height after operation;
5. Take a small amount of breakfast on the day of operation;
6. Before the operation, if the patient has other medical history or is taking drugs, please inform the doctor in detail.
7. Avoid spicy food.
